How long to drag on with these ritualistic festivals?

Tormenting the household to show off to the outsiders?

The plague is devouring the world, why not sympathize with them?

You are hollow inside, why blow your trumpet of boasting?

If you desire righteousness then bring smile to weaker neighbor,

Instead of showing off, be sensitive to your own household,

Stop wasting on drunkenness but spread happiness by sharing, 

Keep clear of pretence but take pride in your actual status.

All religious islands shout out their own self-proclaimed superiority

Loudly claiming love, forgiveness and unity as their exclusivity, 

while in action, the poor are pushed out and the rich are kept in proximity   

Rooted in them are the vices of bitterness, revenge and drought of unity.

Fierce competition among them all in shouting out ‘love all’,

But in practice they all excel in sucking their neighbors dry, 

Uttering as god they preach the ways of truth, peace and love,

But in action they serve to spread jealousy, fight and hatred.

Virtuous Affectionate Village

Tricky Freaky City 

Do not be entangled in city dreams my friend 

Piles of garbage here have poison air upend 

Terror of corrupt robbers cover every bend

Expanse of pollution and disease is with no end.

Daily rising prices spread havoc in monopoly 

Governance and security are in slumber unholy 

Corporate workplaces are labor-exploiters only

Only slaved flatterers can become office friendly.

Market propagation is based on the tricky lies

Businesses  aim to loot the others for own rise

Cities are now becoming dens of crime and vice

Shameless corruption has become the earning device. 

Shining Mining Village  

Let’s learn to enjoy our hometown surrounding

Learning to love the place of our birth and upbringing  

The family we are in is not picked up by our choosing   

God’s natural provision put us in the care of that housing.

That same family values molded our mental shape 

And their uninterrupted attention kept us ever safe 

The village united as one family at times of unrest 

Now it is for us to lift up our village by doing our best.  

Deceptive dreams of the cities are not to be found here 

The fragrance of sweet labor is spread everywhere 

Upright, honest and satisfied in carrying out God’s affair 

The village now deserves youthful energy as its fair share.

Fearful City, Peaceful Village 

Let’s devote our attention in villages, watering it with our sweat 

Pour out our skills as suitable for the land surroundings 

By covering the hills with priceless herbal vegetations

And the spread out plains with flourishing food grains.

Go for the high yielding plantations and animal farmings 

Honor and conserve the nature by progressing in its pace 

Enjoy the freedom to work and eat of our best taste

No slavery, no coercion, no worry of insecurity and waste.

Village is beautiful, work towards making it more so

Let’s put our mind here, mining wealth and finding joy

Then visit the cities at leisure time to see their vanity 

Know that our village is sans the havoc of a busy city.

Who cares even if the acting farce flares, 

The organization will slide over all cares,

Who cares about the fate of the presenter?

What will happen to the prestige of the interviewee?

Aiming to serve the audience with the truth revealed, 

A deep reverence always to the tiny team of such journalists,

Guiding Light

Mankind the favourite handiwork of the Creator,

From among the many kinds in the created theatre. 

Humans were assigned to be the caretaker

And to relish the fellowship of the Maker. 

Mutual attraction placed between men and women

To make them the best of all in the earthly garden.

Conscience was given to know the will of the Maker

To show them the light on the way of their life giver.

Conscience is the eye to see the unseen

It is a lamp to put light on everything,

Delusions abound if conscience is subdued

Darkness surrounds when the lamp is blown out.

The truth is evident everywhere in plenty  

The creation around is the proof of the Creator 

All truths are hidden when the conscience is forbidden 

Truth cannot be seen with the blinded eye within.

If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. … If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

Invisible Preacher- Visible Message

The ghastly global catastrophe is shouting out loud and clear,

A warning message against the current pace of over-urbanization.

Can you hear it now or as yet you think it is unclear?

In order to move on the path of sustainable progress 

As ordained by the Giver of nature for its propagation process, 

It is necessary to be rational by following the path of natural morality.

Different activities propagated against the natural process

For fast, fleeting and aggressive development 

With an aim to overtake the pace of nature,

Are ultimately bound to bring in not progress but huge damage,

Not wealth but losses unfathomable, not peace of mind but giant of worries.

Not rest but endless haste, not wellbeing but deathly burnings.

The options are with us, we are the ones to choose – 

To follow the pace of nature or to give in to overambitious greed?

To override the fellowmen or to make them progress partners?

Aggression with the killer instinct or becoming a companion of compassion?

Thought Blinding Extremism

Spread out all around everywhere can be seen

In the speech and actions meted towards other men

The culture of love and goodwill gone stranger  

The terror of extremism spouting sheer danger:

Draught of conscience, overburdened concerns deep within,

Ideological cohesion is nowhere to be seen;

Terror seems to have overtaken the mind

Contentment and peace have gone forgotten;

Anxiety has ushered the diseases known and unknown

inflicting damages to wealth, will, body and bone. 

Highly self-conceited, excessive in pride,

zero in humility, arrogant in self praise;

Stubbornly competitive, agreeable to none,

Garnering satisfaction in trampling over others;

Taking immoral pleasure in amassing looted property, 

Counting progress and prosperity in the figures of looted booty.

Deep rooted greed percolating through speech and behavior,

Aiming to accumulate everything in sight by snatching from others;

Perpetually lustful in look, language and expression,

Ever lurking to devour others property even by annihilating them;

So much degradation in thought and morality here,

Owing to the blinding damages inflicted by extremism.

भ्रष्ट बहिष्कार

सोझा झुक्याउने अगुवाले देखाए छली क्रान्ति

छलको बलमा भ्रम छरे फसलमा पाए भ्रान्ति। 

छट्टु छिरे लुट-महल लिएर सोझाको जन्ती 

महलभित्र भ्रष्टमति, जन्तीको भागमा क्लान्ति।

लोभभरि होडबाजीमा बने ती ईर्श्याले आक्रान्त

ध्यान ध्याउन्न, सपना जपना खोस्ने अरुको प्रान्त।  

सीप उद्यमको सोच र समझ मिल्काई कतै अन्त

मुखिया बनेर सोझा उक्साए मर्नलाईअद्योपान्त।

—–

वरिपरि जता हेर्‍यो त्यतै नै झुट र छलको ताँती

अधिकार पायो कि भ्रष्टाचार गर्छन् भलीभाँती। 

नामले सेवक तर काममा शोषकको परिपाटी

संकोच बिना लुटेको माल हसुर्छन् चाटीचाटी।

असल पक्ष हेर्न खोज्दा भेट्टाउन सारै गाह्रो छ, 

खराब हेर्दै नहेरुँ भन्दा यही छ्यापछ्याप्ती छ। 

सकारात्मक सोचुँ भन्यो नकारात्मक देखिन्छ,

उज्यालो कसरी भन्ने जहाँ बाक्लो अँध्यारो छ?

लोक व्यवस्था र विधि भ्रमित पछुवापथमा छ, 

शिक्षाको गतिविधि अर्कोको हारमा लक्षित छ।

साम्प्रदायिक धर्ममा अधर्मको क्रूर अट्टहास छ,

नारामा सद्भाव त व्यवहारमा उग्र भेदभाव छ।

अगुवा, मुखिया,नेता, बिक्रेता, नाम जेसुकै होस्,

सेवक, हाकिम, कार्यकर्ता, उपाधि जे नै भिरोस्; 

मन उसको भ्रष्ट भएमा लुक्दैन जति छल गरोस्,

यस्ता भ्रष्टलाई गरौं बहिष्कार सहनु जे जे परोस्।

यिनको कुटिल छल स्वीकार गर्‍यौं केहि नजाँची,

लोभ, धम्की अघि सारी अझै मिच्छन् हाकाहाकी

अन्धभक्त बन्न छोडौं जाँचौं यिनको व्यवहार मति 

भ्रष्टको बहिष्कार गरे मात्र हुन्छ समाजमा प्रगति।

यो कस्तो व्यवस्था?

निधारमा नाम्लो, आँत सधैं टुटेको 

घाँटीमा दाम्लो, चाल अर्कैले लुटेको 

चलहलमा अंकुसे, पीडाले पिटेको 

रक्षक बनेकाले भक्षक बनी चुटेको।

  

उन्नतिको आशामा, ऋणको छ भार 

मुक्तिको भाषा, भोगाइ दास-व्यवहार 

मित्रलाई अधिकार, चोटिको भ्रष्टाचार 

अधिकारको हुँकार, दब्यो जन-चीत्कार। 

मत मंग्दा मित्र, मत सोरेपछि अन्यत्र

वाचा सबै झूट-पत्र, बदनाम लोकतन्त्र 

ख्याउटे अब पुष्ट, लुटेर राष्ट्रिय संयन्त्र 

कुन तन्त्र, के मन्त्र, जनजीवन अलपत्र।

अधिकारी आडम्बरी, कुर्सीमा लिसोसरी  

एकल लक्ष स्वार्थसिद्धि, जनादेश रद्दीसरी 

प्रजातन्त्र, गणतन्त्र, लोकतन्त्र, थरीथरी 

जनादेश दिने जनता छलमा पर्यौं बेसरी। 

छलीको छलबाट बचौं

पात पतिङ्गर कसिङ्गर सोहोरी सारा जङ्गल 

ढाँटेर बताए तिनलाई खीलधारी अरिङ्गाल, 

सत्य यिनमा छैन, सर्वत्र छलैछलको छाल 

जनता सधैं गरीबीमा, धूर्त नेता मालामाल।  

देशले उम्दा विकास गरेको गर्दैछन दाबी 

विकासधारी ट्याङ्काको यी खोल्दैनन् चाबी,

शायद नेताले मात्र देख्ने विकास होला हाबी 

त्यो नदेख्ने जनताको आँखैमा पो छ खराबी।   

सत्र हजार टाउका गिंड़ी गुथिसक्यो माला

जरायोको टाउकोमा सिङको छैन चाला, 

छिमेकीले भिराइदिए बाह्र सिङको टाला 

‘मेरा सिङ वापस करो’ भन्दा सातो जाला। 

गर्नै नपर्ने झैं सबै गर्ने हाँक दिंदथे पहिले 

हुँदाहुँदै नभएका पनि भए भन्छन् अहिले,

विनाशकाले विपरीत बुद्धि बुझिने बोलीले 

जनता जति खुत्रुक्कै नेताको बोली-गोलीले।  

नीति-नियम विधि-विधान केवल नेतामुखी 

नेता पोष्ने, कारिन्दा तान्ने, बनाइ तीनै सुखी,

नाउँले जनसेवक,कामले जनता पार्ने दुखी 

नेता मात्र उकास्ने विधान अब बुझ्यौं चाखी।  

आस्थाको लेपले पोतेको तीतो विकृत नीति

छली नेताले पस्किए भन्दै यही हो राजनीति,

कटुताको विषका अम्मली पारिए जन जति 

जनताको कर बन्यो नेताको निजी सम्पत्ति।   

यी फेरि भट्याउँदैछन् बेमौसमी भोट भजन

भोट भन्दै राजकोषबाट अर्बौं हुने हो भाजन,

देश र जनताको समुन्नतिमा नेताको छैन मन 

जनता सधैं कङ्गाल, नेता बन्ने धनाढ्य राजन।

घोटीघोटी प्राप्त त्यही पुरानो खिसीको ओखती 

घिसीपिटी उत्पादित गालीगलोचको निम्न कोटी

चोटीका नेता भनाउँदाहरु कुन खालका गोटी?

भ्रष्टाचारको पालो नपाउँदाको प्रष्ट भो’ छटपटी। 

जनताको पसिनाले जोहो गरेको सामल पानी

निर्लज्ज लुट्छन यी नेताले कुनै सङ्कोच नमानी,

चर्को कर असुल्दैछन् हाम्रै पेटमा लात्ती हानी

के आधारमा भोट दिने यी भ्रष्टका बानी जानी? 

भोटद्वारा यिनलाई लुटको लाइसेन्स पो दिएछौं 

तब बानी नचिनेर आफ्नै घुँडामा खुँडा हानेछौं,

लौ फेरि छली भोटको यिनको नाटक देख्दैछौं

होस नगरी यिनैलाई छाने, फेरि पङ्गु बन्नेछौं। 

शासक, होसियार !

राज गर्नेले सुबुद्धिसित गरोस् र शासक सावधान रहून्,

शास्त्रको नीतिवचनको मनन गर्दै प्रदत्त शासन गरून्;

दुवै नै मालिकका कारिन्दा हुन्, कम्पसाथ उनैमा रहून्,

ईश-अभिषिक्तको कोपमा नडढून्, उनको शरण परून्। 

मात्रा मिलाएर प्रयोग गरे शासकको शक्ति अमृत समान,

मात्रा लत्याएर मनमानी गरे त्यही अमृत नै बन्छ दुर्व्यसन; 

प्रेम र सत्यमा आधारित शासन समाजको निम्ति वरदान,

शक्ति प्रयोगमा असन्तुलनले समाजमा क्रान्ति विस्फोटन। 

स्वार्थी अधिकारीले लालचीको मनसायप्रति नै लालच लिन्छ,

आफ्नै फाइदाको लागि लालचीको सुझावमा सहमति दिन्छ;

समाजको खाँचो पन्छाएर आफ्नै फलिफापको मात्रै सम्झन्छ, 

सोझाको शान्ति लुटेर लालचीको स्वार्थी सोचको साथी बन्छ।  

भ्रष्ट अधिकारीका मति कुटिल, अभिमानी दृष्टि र घमण्डी मन,

छिमेकीको दिन पार्दै जटिल, छल-कपट र झूटमा बित्छ दिन; 

ईशको न्यायमा टिक्दैनन् यी नीच, सबै काम खुल्नेछ त्यो दिन, 

झट्टै नष्ट भै भेटिंदैनन् छिमेकी बीच, क्षणमा ती बन्ने शक्तिहीन। 

शासनको आसन हो ईशको दान, बढाउन उनैको सृष्टिको शान, 

न्यायको दिनमा खुल्नेछ प्रमाण – सबै झूटको हुने नै छ अवसान;

कहिलेसम्म गरिरहन्छौ अन्यायी र दुष्ट दुराचारीको पक्षपोषण?  

दुर्बल अनाथको रक्षा गर, गरिब पीडितलाई देऊ न्याय दान। 

त्यो अधिकारको स्थान ईश्वरको हो दान, सदैव यो सम्झना गर,

अहङ्कारको हुङ्कार होइन तर अबोध र दीनहरुको संरक्षण गर;

लेखा दिनु पर्नेछ जान, दम्भले दानव नबन शासक, होसियार !

घमण्डले दाता-दोहन गर्ने शासकको अवश्यम्भावी छ संहार।
